Multiple Choice – 90 minutes<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n There are 40 MC questions worth 1 point each<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cycle through the test more than once<\/p>\n\n\n\n Answer the easy questions first<\/p>\n\n\n\n Skip long trace through questions to start – answer these last<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bubble your answers as you go<\/p>\n\n\n\n Know your sorts and searches really well – https:\/\/visualgo.net\/en<\/p>\n\n\n\n Practice tracing recursion if that is tough for you<\/p>\n\n\n\n 90 minutes will go fast so manage your time <\/p>\n\n\n\n Free Response – 90 minutes<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n There are 4 FR Questions worth 9 points each<\/p>\n\n\n\n Know the pre-defined topics for each FRQ Read all 4 FR questions before writing any code<\/p>\n\n\n\n Write the code for the easiest question first If you are writing a return method, make sure to return<\/p>\n\n\n\n Check carefully to see if part B must call A and such – not optional<\/p>\n\n\n\n Check for static methods vs methods in a class with instance variables<\/p>\n\n\n\n If extending a class, make sure you have super calls and method overrides where needed<\/p>\n\n\n\n Final Bits<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Know how to chop up a number digit by digit using % 10 and \/ 10<\/p>\n\n\n\n Know how to chop up a string using substring and indexOf<\/p>\n\n\n\n Know how to remove multiple instances of the same item from an ArrayList<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lastly, have fun!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Computer Science is fun!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
