What is included with the A+ Computer Science UIL Contest Materials?
The A+ Computer Science Contest Materials cover all of the UIL Computer Science topics very thoroughly in many different ways. LIVE online programming contest tutorials, written test tutorials, and practice materials are provided in the A+ Computer Science Contest Materials.
UIL Computer Science topics are also integrated into the A+ Computer Science Curriculum as often as possible. Many of the UIL Computer Science topics overlap with the AP Computer Science topics, making it very easy to cover all of the topics on both topic lists. Every attempt is made to cover as many of the UIL Computer Science topics as possible and to do so in a manner that fits with the rest of the curriculum.
When UIL Computer Science topics are discussed in the A+ Computer Science Curriculum, most are covered through slide shows, java example files, quizzes, and worksheets, but there are some topics that are only covered in lab form.
All multiple choice tests are provided in a form that looks like an actual UIL Computer Science Written Tests. Each UIL Computer Science Written Test will contain AP style questions, UIL Computer Science style questions, and very general questions. The difficulty level of the questions will vary greatly.
There are many lab assignments that demonstrate how to solve the most common UIL programming concepts as these seem to show up in UIL programming packets quite frequently. Every attempt is made to cover each of these concepts at least once. Most of the UIL Computer Science topics are covered in lab form, but some are also explained and covered with slides.
