The new AP Computer Science Principles course is coming along nicely.
It covers all aspects of Computer Science and works to demonstrate the importance of Computer Science to all disciplines.

As attacks increase, demand for cyber analysts and skilled cyber security professionals continues to rise, but it is tough to fill those jobs as there are few professionals in the system with those credentials and few graduates coming out of the pipeline ready for those jobs.

We clearly need more students to take Computer Science classes.
Fewer Students Taking CS Classes
If CS jobs are in high demand and CS enables people to do amazing things, why would fewer and fewer students be taking the classes?
Many students think of Computer Science as a field where people are locked in basement alone and asked to writing code in a black DOS window while drinking jolt cola and eating cold pizza. Many students do not view Computer Science as a creative and dynamic social process. We have to do a better job of showing them that Computer Science is a field that has far reaching positive societal impact and that it involves teamwork and creativity.

Computer Science is a very broad area of study that reaches into many different areas.
We need to teach students that Computer Science is a much broader field that they realize.
Computer Science empowers people to do amazingly cool things!
Computing Our Children’s Future

I like to use Fractal assignments in my Computer Science classes. The following link is to the Koch snowflake Wikipedia page. I chose the Koch snowflake fractal as the forcast calls for snow here on Friday. It never snows in Houston, Texas, but when it does, it is very entertaining – a lot like a fractal.
